In short, the leader of KMM was also the leader of the Al-Qaeda South East Asia.
Mohammed Farik Amin is a Malaysian who is a senior member of JI and Al-Qaeda and is also a cousin of well-known Malaysian terrorist Zulkifli Abd Hir, the KMM & JI-Al-Qaeda South East Asia leader.
A list of Johore origin KMM/JI & thus Al-Qaeda South East Asia is on the Malaysiakini table. Some KMM/JI members who were ISA detainees who are not on the list became AQ & ISIS terrorists in Syria as documented by published reports — Lotfi Ariffin islamist politician, Rafi Uddin, etc.
Another JI & Al-Qaeda South East Asia operative & became both ISIS & AQ recruiter is former Malaysian army captain of Johore origin Yazid Sufaat known among others for being the 2000 AQ Malaysian Summit host for TWO (2) known 9/11 Suicide Terrorists, Nawaf Hazmi and Khalid Mihdhar and the 9/11 operations chief himself — Khalid Sheikh Mohammed & facilitator, host & funder — more likely a conduit for funding — for the ONLY MAN convicted of 9/11 Suicide Terrorism Attacks in the USA in USA Courts — Zacarias Moussaoui. He ran an Anthrax research lab for AQ under de facto Taliban control. Sufaat was involved in the December 2000 church bombings in Indonesia, perpetrated by JI which is Al-Qaeda in South East Asia as Maria Ressa has determined.
Yazid Sufaat was detained in 2013 for recruiting new members for the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and in December 2017, Yazid was rearrested as he had been recruiting fellow inmates for Al-Qaeda while in jail. Al-Qaeda Operative, ISIS Recruiter & Al-Qaeda Recruiter!
